LEAP Award
The LEAP Award recognizes excellence in the field of contemporary craft, and is presented annually
by Society for Contemporary Craft in Pittsburg. The competition is open to exceptionally talented students and under-represented craft artists.
MacArthur Fellowship
The prize is awarded to talented
individuals who have shown extraordinary originality and dedication in their
creative pursuits and a marked capacity for self-direction. The unrestricted
$500,000.00 award is given without strings and is designed to provide seed
money for intellectual, social, and artistic endeavors.

Handweavers Guild of America offers this competitive award for study
in the field of fiber. Application deadline May 1.
Mentoring Grants - (NY)
The New York Folklore Society, in partnership with the Folk Arts Program of the New
York State Council on the Arts (NYSCA), offers grants for folklife and traditional arts
through its Mentoring and Professional Development Program.
National Heritage Fellowships In The Folk
And Traditional Arts
The National Endowment for the Arts annually provides up to twelve one-time-only
National Heritage Fellowships for master folk and traditional artists.
Pew Fellowships in the Arts Pew Fellowships in the Arts (PFA), a program of The Pew Center for Arts and Heritage and established by The Pew Charitable Trusts in 1991, awards grants to artists working in a wide variety of performing, visual, and literary disciplines.

USA Fellowship in Crafts and Traditional Arts
United States Artists awards USA Fellowships, unrestricted grants of $50,000
awarded to artists who demonstrate artistic excellence, unique artistic vision,
and significant contributions to their fields. The program honors artists at all
stages of their careers, from emerging to mid-career to established figures in
their fields.
