The holidays are coming and wouldn't it be nice to decorate your home with a Christmas theme basket? Basket kits and patterns also make thoughtful presents for your basketmaking friends. Plan to spend time with your children making a selection of special ornaments for your tree. Whether you are shopping for yourself or for a gift, Internet resources abound.

Sandy Atkinson presents holiday baskets from a variety of authors, including several ornaments, a stocking and a pin-on holiday basket.

Baskets of Joy offers patterns for sale including a bell shape door decoration of flat and round reed which you can decorate with greens and attach to your door to welcome your holiday guests. Another outdoor project is a flat reed Christmas Tree door basket. You might try making white crocheted baskets as ornaments for your Christmas trees with this free holiday crochet pattern. Folded and Woven Moravian Stars make great Christmas tree ornaments. You can even make baskets out of multiple 3D stars. Try weaving them of birch bark as well as paper strips.
